Senioritis
Our next news story focussed on Senioritis. We shot a lot of B-roll and had fun doing it. We learned a couple things from our first video. We know you cannot have enough B-Roll. During the editing process, more b-roll makes every students jobs easier. We had some lighting problems for the filming at the bar. Overall as a team we thought this was a better video than out last one. We just had a couple problems that could be avoided. We didn't use a tripod and our lighting had problems. I think we had a strong idea and strong work.

Digital FLip Use
This past weekend I used the digital flip to solve a business problem. The problem is the sale of a house. A family member is trying to sell his house, and he came to me and asked if I had any input. My idea was to shoot video instead of still pictures. My idea was to post a short 90 second video tour of the property. I went to the house that was for sale and began shooting. My plan was to start from the outside and work my way in showing each room for about 15-20 seconds. However since I was shooting indoors I did experience some problems. It was a very sunny day outside, but the house was not well lit. The light coming in from the window was too bright in comparison with the light in the room. As I would pan by the windows, it would take the flip a couple seconds to readjust from the bright windows to the dark walls. I noticed the rooms with less windows and more natural light came out a lot better. The audio was low at times, but the soft music in the background worked well. All this being said, the videos came out good enough to use and we will see if it helps with the sale of the house.

Video Review
Today we completed and watched our first team videos in class. My team did a news story on the campus smoking ban. I thought our video was good. I liked how our video was edited and produced. I thought all our team members did a good job at their specific field. I had fun doing this project and look forward to creating more video.
